For weddings, we highly recommend booking your hair and makeup artist 6-12 months in advance. Wedding dates fill up quickly, so securing your artist early ensures you get your preferred date and artist. This early booking also allows us to plan and prepare thoroughly for your special day, ensuring everything goes smoothly.
For other services, such as individual appointments or special events not tied to weddings, we recommend booking at least a week in advance. Availability for these services operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so booking early ensures you get the time slot that best fits your schedule.
By planning ahead and securing your appointments early, you can relax knowing your beauty needs are taken care of with the utmost attention to detail and professionalism.

Yes. This allows our team to dedicate the necessary time to understand your hair and skin, and make any needed adjustments on the wedding day seamlessly. Previews are typically scheduled during the wedding week and are only required for Bridal services.

After receiving your inquiry via email, our dedicated admin assistant will promptly respond to provide you with our current pricing and detailed information. Along with the pricing details, you will receive a questionnaire to fill out and return. This helps us understand your needs, preferences, and any specific details relevant to your event. Once we receive your completed questionnaire, we will prepare a detailed estimate and contract tailored to your requirements. To secure your booking and reserve your date, we require your signed contract and a non-refundable deposit. Upon receiving your signed contract and deposit, your booking will be confirmed, and your date will be reserved exclusively for you. Please note that your booking is not considered secure, and your date is not reserved until we have received both your signed contract and deposit. We recommend completing these steps promptly to avoid disappointment, as dates can fill up quickly.

Unfortunately, demand for services during peak wedding months is very high, and for that reason, dates cannot be held for any longer than 7 days from first contact. Our availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is only secured and confirmed by returning a signed contract along with your booking deposit.

All the items in our kit are of professional quality, high performing, and carefully selected for their ability to photograph beautifully while maintaining a natural, fresh finish. To ensure durability throughout the day, the products we use are professional grade, long-wearing, and water resistant. Selected brands include RCMA Makeup, Face Atelier, Viseart, Ben Nye, MAC Cosmetics, Glossier, Make Up Forever, and Danessa Myricks, among others.
We generally prefer to use our own products for hair and makeup, as we are confident they will perform optimally for your event. We understand that our clients have products they canβt live without on a day-to-day basis, but those products may not be suited for our climate or professional photography.
We are continually researching new products that will suit our clientsβ needs. Specific products depend on the location and climate, as well as skin/texture and final look desired.

Our service aims to enhance your natural features and create a polished look that still feels like you. We strive to ensure that you look flawless both on and off camera. When it comes to bridal makeup, we prioritize achieving a good balance between what looks good on camera and what still appears natural, so that you feel comfortable with your chosen look.

Based on the number of services requested and the number of artists allocated to your day, we will provide a service timeline in the final weeks leading up to your event. This timeline will be based on the overall schedule and photography timeline, with some extra time added for unexpected delays.

Once the time for finishing hair and makeup is established, we will create a detailed timeline for your wedding day services. We prioritize ensuring that you and your loved ones are ready for the next stage of the day. Based on past experience, we have found that specific time slots can be problematic if someone is late, which can disrupt the entire schedule. Instead, we recommend using this time to enjoy quality moments with your favorite ladies, share a meal, reminisce, and embrace these last few moments as a single person. This will be a cherished opportunity that you won't regret.

We will ensure to schedule the appropriate number of artists to accommodate your requests on your special day. If you require more artists than we initially recommend, an additional "extra artist" fee will apply. Rest assured, we have a proven track record in scheduling and can handle it efficiently. If you choose to engage other artists, please keep in mind that our timeline takes priority, similar to the VIP line at a concert.

We offer on-site services exclusively, and do not operate from a studio or our homes. Our services are available locally and internationally, and we can travel to your home, hotel room, or wedding venue. Pricing is determined based on travel to your location in Sayulita, Nayarit, and estimates for other locations will be provided upon request.

While each artist has their own unique approach, we recommend that our clients come in with unwashed hair (at least a day old) and a clean, moisturized face. It's also helpful to bring inspiration images that reflect the desired final look. When searching for inspiration images, consider finding photos of women with a similar face shape, skin tone, and hair color.
All services are scheduled based on a clean face and dry, unwashed (day-old) hair to achieve optimal and long-lasting results. If you prefer to have a blowout or additional preparation before your service, there will be an additional charge.

In addition to your wedding day, we also provide services for engagement photos, boudoir sessions, and rehearsal dinners, which are highly sought after. These sessions can be a wonderful addition to your bridal services. Additionally, we offer concierge services for our bridal clients who may need us to stay with them after their hair and makeup timeline is completed.

Most brides book their bridal services one year in advance, but I recommend booking your preferred hair and makeup artist well in advance to secure their availability.

A minimum fee is applied to all bridal bookings: Jenn $625, Justine $500, Gustavo $450. All prices are listed in USD.
The pricing includes travel to locations within Sayulita, Riviera Nayarit. For events outside of Sayulita, travel fees may apply and will be quoted on an individual basis. Any parking or entry fees will be charged to the client.
All bridal services require a trial to ensure that the desired look can be created and to make necessary adjustments for the effects of climate prior to the client's wedding day. This service is in place to ensure that the wedding day goes smoothly and the client knows what to expect.
16% Mexican IVA tax must be added to all balances.
A booking is not confirmed until a non-refundable, non-transferable 30% deposit and a signed contract have been received by Jenn Chivers & Co. Beauty Team. The deposit will be applied to the final invoice. Due to high demand, dates cannot be held for longer than 7 days without a signed contract and deposit.
